BayFest 2009 will be held August 14 - 16 aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay. Performers include The Black Eyed Peas, . This three-day event features fireworks by Grucci all three nights.

BayFest offers something for everyone -- Coconut Island Boat Rides, food booths, E.K. Fernandez midway and carnival rides, the "build-your-own boat" Bathtub Regatta, BodySearch Fitness Challenge, military static displays, plus much more.

Celebrating its 20th year, BayFest is an annual event organized by Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS). Proceeds from this event enhance the quality of life for the Marines, Sailors and their family members stationed aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii. The purpose of BayFest is to convey an appreciation to the local community and to pay homage to the military members who sacrifice themselves for America's freedom.

E.K. Fernandez rides open until midnight on Friday & Saturday, and 9 p.m. on Sunday.

 


RULES & REGULATIONS

When driving your car on base...

  • Make sure you have your driver's license, valid registration and proof of insurance on hand, in case you are asked to present them by the Military Police. All vehicles are subject to random search.
  • DO NOT talk on your cell phone while driving. Military Police will issue tickets and citations for this violation.
  • All passengers must be secured in seat belts, even backseat passengers!

Special Notice: All vehicles MUST be removed from the flight line following BayFest events. Any vehicle left on the flight line will be subject to immediate tow at the
owner's expense.

Due to security procedures aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii, the following are prohibited:

  • Backpacks or coolers
  • Pets, unless they are Seeing Eye dogs
  • Outside food or drinks
  • Explosives, weapons

As a guest of Marine Corps Base Hawaii, you are governed by the rules and regulations of the U.S. Marine Corps. Please conduct yourselves in an appropriate manner.


RE-ENTRY
Re-entry is permitted into BayFest only if additional admission ticket is purchased. Please prepare all necessary items before coming into the BayFest gates.
