Regatta Official Rules & Regulations

1. Open to the public, military and corporations.

2. Craft must be handmade. (No prefab-crafts, to include the use of boards -- surf or rescue).

3. Must have a four-person crew.

4. All crew members must wear USCG Life Vest -- to be provided.

5. All Crew members must provide own paddles (commercial or handmade).

6. Crew will power craft out approximately 100 meters, go around water buoy counter-clockwise once, then return to starting point on beach.

7. Craft must be driven all the way to beach. You cannot abandon craft or walk it to shore.

8. Winners are chosen by best finish times.

9. Individual awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes.

10. Team awards for Best Craft, Funniest Design, 1st to Sink, Military Madness, and The Terminator.

11. Prizes are nontransferable and may not be redeemed for cash.

12. All applicable taxes, gratuities and service charges are the responsibility of the prize winner.

13. Contestants release MCCS and sponsors from any claim, demand or course of action for personal injury, property loss, destruction or theft occurring as a result of prize acceptance.

14. Contest entry constitutes release to use contestant's name, photo and/or voice in print or broadcast promotional materials.

15. All Competitors must be on site by 11:30 a.m. Safety Brief will take place at 12:15 p.m.
